Hi, I’m Nick and I’m a Game Developer. This page is here to show off some of the work I’ve done as well as letting you get to know me!
I have just completed my Advanced Diploma in Professional Game Development at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment and am now venturing into the big wide world of game creation! I have had a number of different jobs over the years all being based in hospitality. As such I’ve become quite a good team member.
Of course along with this I of course play games as well. Turns out I’m a bit of a Blizzard fan boy as it’s their games I spend most of my time playing. At the end of the day though providing I have some sort of social interaction with friends while playing I’m pretty happy.
Most of the games I have currently made have been done in Unity. So far I have developed for PC , HTC Vive and a PS4 game. I really want to start doing some work on mobile devices as they are starting to take up such a large portion of the market, as well as developing more for VR and AR devices. AR/VR devices are definitely something that has a lot of potential and can be so much fun to develop for!
If you’d like to have a look at some of the projects I’ve worked on feel free to head to my portfolio and check out some of the awesome games I’ve made there.
COG is an isometric puzzle plat-former, where the player swaps control between two different robots to get to the end of each level. The game is designed to be played on a PC while using an Xbox One controller!
This game was created at AIE as part of our final major work where I worked in a team of six that included myself as the programmer, four artists and a designer.
We were able to have this game on display at EB Games Expo Sydney, as well as PAX Australia in 2016. We got great feedback from both expo’s and had a great time showing our game off to heaps of different people.
The code for this can be found at: COG
